The "Frog Days Of Summer" are filled with fun family events. An event I attended was a free outdoor concert last night at Pulaski Park in New York Mills to watch Fritz's Polka Band (who are on a first-name basis with Matt Herkimer). Today, you have plenty of events to choose from.

There's the weekly farmers' market in Chancellor Park on Elizabeth Street in downtown Utica, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. West Winfield has a farmer's market today from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the West Winfield Federated Church on Route 20. It's always great to get fresh, home-grown fruits and vegetables and support our local farmers.

With the lack of rain, the live outdoor concerts have been packing them in. Tonight, Tim Britt entertains at the Whitesboro Concert in the Park from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Whitesboro Village Park at the corner of Main and Clinton Streets.

And, this is definitely the ice cream weather, and tonight it's New Hartford's annual Ice Cream Social and Band Concert from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the New Hartford Rec Center, located at 4 Mill Street. Music will be provided by the New Hartford Citizens Band, and it's sponsored by the Friends of the New Hartford Public Library.

There's plenty of other activities going on locally today and throughout the month. Visit our BigFrog 104 Events Page for details.
