James Barber of the USDA's Farm Service Agency urges farmers to keep thorough records of all losses including building damage from flood waters or crop loss from the excessive rain.  Click to find your local FSA office or call 1-866-9992.

U.S. Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand are asking the USDA  to issue an agricultural disaster declaration that would quicken federal assistance.  They want Oneida, Herkimer, Madison Montgomery, Fulton, Schoharie and surrounding counties to receive the declaration.

Volunteers Needed at Salvation Army To Help With Flood Relief Efforts

The Herkimer chapter has set up a disaster relief command center and they need volunteers willing to donate their time.
