It's sad news for Bills fans with the passing of Ralph Wilson. As we all mourn, here's a couple facts you may have not known about the late great Bills legend.

1) He Was From Michigan

According to Heavy, he was native of Detroit, Michigan, and he maintained a residence in Michigan until his death. At one time, he was also a minority shareholder with the Detroit Lions.

 

2) He Was A Horse Breeder 

In addition to his football activities, Wilson was also an accomplished horse breeder. He bred the horse Jim French. This horse was a winner of a Santa Anita derby in 1971.

 

3) He Was One Of The Original American Football League Owners

According to CBS, Wilson formed the team back in 1959.

 

4) Wilson Was A Member Of The Foolish Club

According to CBS, the nickname given to the group of men who helped form the AFL was "The Foolish Club". Wilson was one of two surviving members.
