James Wesley is getting ready to take the FrogFest stage June 15th at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds.  He's excited to play some new music for the crowd and his new single 'Thank a Farmer;' a song that has special meaning. 'This song talks about so much. Just everything that the farmers do. From the shoes on our feet to the clothes on our back and the food on the table. I can't wait to do that song live there.  We're inviting everybody. I’m looking forward to this. The last time we were there and played the theater, that was such a beautiful place.’  But is he ready to rock the FrogFest crowd? ‘We’re there to make it a party. That’s what we”re there for. To celebrate 25 years.’

Stars get a lot of strange requests, but James once had someone ask him to sign their forehead. 'He goes 'C'mon man, it's a bet. If I get it, I get five bucks.' I said I'll do it if you want me to.  He said 'man I need the five bucks.' So I signed his forehead.'

When James isn't busy touring on the road, he says you can usually find him out on a bank.  'On a river bank, creek bank, pond, it doesn't matter. As long as there is fish. We're fishin.'

They say the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach and that's no different for James who has a sweet tooth. 'It's a toss up between pie and cake. I like my pie and I like my cake. Of course you gotta have a little ice cream with that, you know.'

The best way to get on James' last nerve is to have no patience. 'Especially when you're driving and you got somebody behind you riding your tail. I've actually used my brake lights before.'

James and his band spend a lot of time on the road. So how do they pass the time? 'Usually we pop a movie in, like Tombstone. I like westerns but I like comedy too.  You know 'Dumb and Dumber.' You can't go wrong with Jim Carey.'

I don't know who is more excited about FrogFest.  Us to see him perform live or James himself. 'Thank you so much for the opportunity. I'm looking forward to it. It's always good to come back and be with y'all.'
