Jim says he knew he wanted to be a bluegrass player at a very young age, but he just kind of fell into country when he first started.  Proving how versatile he is, there will be a new bluegrass album out in a few weeks and a country album on shelves after the first of the year.  While bluegrass music doesn’t get a lot of national attention or much radio airplay, Jim sees the genre as very healthy and thinks Darius Rucker’s recording of Wagon Wheel and the TV series Nashville as helping bring a lot of attention to the music and The Opry.
