Everyday Etiquette You Should Know

Maybe it’s just that I’m getting older but it doesn’t seem to me that people are as well mannered or courteous as they used to be. Whether it’s someone talking loudly on a cell phone in a restaurant or a person wearing a t-shirt with inappropriate language on it I get the feeling that too many people just don’t care about other people’s feelings. RealSimple.com has come up with a list of 10 common sense everyday etiquette tips that, if followed, would make this a better world.
–Navigating a crowded sidewalk: Walk on the right and pass on the left. And don’t walk with more than two people side by side blocking the whole sidewalk.
–Claiming a parking spot: Never let a passenger hold a spot by standing in it. It’s OK to follow someone from the store to their car. Just ask, “Are you leaving”?
–Asking someone to hold you place in line: If it’s just you and maybe one other person OK. Coming back with a whole group of people, definitely not cool.
