Find out what you should know about accessibility while enjoying food, music, face painting, and a variety of vendors.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed in 1990 to help secure the civil rights of people with disabilities and help protect them from being discriminated against because of their disabilities. The ADA also requires that all public places (like schools, restaurants, stores, offices, etc.) be made accessible to all and requires that employers provide reasonable accommodations to employees with disabilities. Organizations like RCIL work with individuals and communities to help ensure the promise of independence and freedom that is envisioned by passage of the ADA.

RCIL is a 501(c)3 certified nonprofit organization offering individuals with disabilities a wide range of independent living and advocacy services so they can live THEIR Lives THEIR Way, at home and in the community as safely and independently as possible.
