Paranormal Event of the Year in Rome, New York. Have you or your team ever dreamed of exploring an untouched location for the first time - this is it! In March 1756 a surprise nighttime French and Indian attack on a small garrison at Fort Bull left the 60 British defenders including women and children all dead. A fire touched off the powder magazine containing over 5000 pounds of gun powder leveling the fort and its surroundings. A relief column arrived days later and buried in a mass grave some thirty bodies they were able to recover. One of them being Lt. Bull's wife who had a bayonet rammed through her neck in a most brutal fashion. A replacement fort was built near the site of the original and called Fort Wood Creek. Following a Canadian raid that took place months later, disease ravaged the ranks of General Bradstreet's men killing some 500-600 men near Ft. Wood Creek. Those bodies were also buried in mass graves. Decades later the site became a farm and is now part of a defunct historical park formerly known as the Erie Canal Village.

No one knows the location of the original fort. No one knows where the defenders are buried. No one knows where General Bradstreet's men are buried. An old stone marker marks the site of Fort Wood Creek and the terrain features around it are unmistakable as being a manmade defensive area. Here is your one time chance to get on to the battlefield with the Rome Historical Society, the Friends of Fort Bull and the Rome Investigators of the Paranormal as we search for clues. A preliminary walk through yielded incredible results and we think we found something, details will be revealed to the attendees.

We have to say this is straight up - this is a real adventure! Tickets must be purchased on-line in advance. All participants will be bused into the location, no exceptions. Once you are there you are there, once you leave you are out. This is outdoors. There is no seating or shelter. It consists of heavily wooded areas, clearings and swampy marsh. It is not in any way handicap accessible or wheel chair friendly. The event will begin promptly at 6pm and end at 11pm for regular ticket holders. Finger foods and water will be served throughout the night. A portable bathroom will be available. There is no electricity or running water. We suggest rugged outdoor clothing, boots, flashlights, chair, batteries, ghost equipment and anything you may need. You must adhere to the special instructions of the Rome Historical Society or RIP members at all times especially the property boundaries, if you refuse you will be removed from the event without refund. This is a battlefield and no disrespectful behavior will be tolerated at any time either.

VIP Tickets are available and extremely limited. The normal event will take place from 6-11pm. VIP ticket holders can stay until 2am. From 11:30pm-2am we will have access to a special area that through excavations has been revealed to be a primitive Native American camp/worksite. This area has also never been investigated. On our preliminary walkthrough, each RIP member distinctively heard an older woman's voice say "Hello."

ALL MONEY raised goes to the Rome Historical Society and is being used towards the preservation of the battlefield. Come help us find some answers from those left behind...
