Join us for the 7th Annual Stars & Stripes Run~Walk!

Saturday, October 6, 2018 at SUNY Poly (formerly SUNYIT)

Individuals and teams are invited to participate in honor or in memory of a loved one who has served our country. The event will feature a 5k run, 5k wheelchair race, 2-mile walk, and a fun-filled, military-inspired obstacle course!

This event is the primary fundraiser for Sitrin's Military Rehabilitation Program, which provides comprehensive care for veterans who have post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic diagnoses, multiple trauma, and other combat-related conditions. This program is unique in that it combines traditional therapy (OT, PT and aquatic therapy, speech pathology and audiology) with biofeedback, individual psychology, group therapy and family integration therapy, adaptive sports, planned helpfulness, massage therapy, physical readiness training, recreational therapy, and equine-assisted therapy. Sitrin’s Military Rehabilitation Program is funded solely by the generosity of the community. Veterans who choose to be treated at Sitrin do not pay anything for their care, not even a co-pay. Community and corporate support contributes to the success of this program.

Registration will also be available the day of the Run~Walk in the SUNY Poly Campus Center between 7:30 and 8:45 a.m.
