17th Annual Fall Migration Festival at The Great Swamp Conservancy

The Great Swamp Conservancy will be honoring migratory birds that are preparing for their long journey at their 17th Annual Fall Migration Festival. A Live Birds of Prey presentations will be offered by Page’s Wildlife Center; bringing 8 unreleasable raptors. Founder Cynthia Page has been rehabilitating wild animals for over 30 years, specializing in birds of prey. Her programs focus on predator-prey relationships, adaptations birds develop for their specific environments, and the role birds of prey have in the ecosystem. Artists, crafters, and various vendors will be throughout buildings and on the front lawn. Wanderers’ Rest, Utica Zoo Mobile, 7 Trees Goat Farm and a petting zoo will provide animals of all kinds and sizes. Visit the Wetland Creatures table, Year of the Heron booth, and the Madison County Health Dept. exhibit. Kids will be challenged at the Outdoor Rock Climbing Wall, and the Kid’s Fun Run. The butterfly tent will be prepared to release butterflies in the afternoon. The Fall Migration Festival is uniquely fun featuring nature activities, local musicians, food, including the favorite chicken BBQ and much more. This fundraiser benefits the GSC’s conservation efforts. Admission is $4/adults and $1 for children 12 and under, $8 max for families.
