Eric Church certainly isn't being treated like an 'outsider' in 2014.

The singer's latest release 'The Outsiders' was an instant hit, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the Country Album charts, and now he's about to tape his debut performance on 'Austin City Limits.'

Church headlined the ACL Music Festival in 2013, and he was such a hit that they're adding him to the roster of performers for the music show's 40th anniversary season. The 'Give Me Back My Hometown' singer will tape his performance live before a studio audience on Sept. 25, to be aired nationally on PBS Television at a later date.

With stellar production and a long-running respect at 'ACL,' fans can expect a show as electrifying as the country outlaw would provide in real life.

'Austin City Limits' is a groundbreaking television music program filmed in downtown Austin, Texas. With his performance, Church will join many of country music's biggest stars who have appeared on the award-winning show over the past three decades, including Kacey Musgraves, who performed last season.
