Luke Bryan is out. The ‘Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye’ singer toppled all five competitors put in front of him, thanks to votes from fans online and via Taste of Country Nights radio. One by one, Bryan knocked down his fellow country artists, walking straight into Showdown Hall of Fame without even breaking a sweat. That means that this Friday battle will start with two fresh faces in Eli Young Band and Jon Pardi, both armed with new singles about achy minutes with, or without, that special someone.

Pardi’s ‘Missin’ You Crazy’ offers a light look at what it’s like to say goodbye, after the singer changes his mind about gettin’ up and gettin’ gone, realizing he’d be losing a pretty great thing. The song is more of an upbeat, toe-tappin’ singalong than anything lyrically hypnotizing, but it’s a formula lots of country fans appreciate.

But where Jon Pardi is almost optimistic about losing his person of interest, Eli Young Band are more emotional in their dark-but-sexy look at a relationship that might not be just right. ‘Say Goodnight’ is a song that makes you wanna throw you hands up in the air and forget about all of the issues for the sake of feeling good one more time, something plenty of folks can likely relate to.

But which song can you relate to better? Listen to clips of both EYB’s and Pardi’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour online, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. Hear the full versions of the songs tonight after 10PM on Taste of Country Nights, and vote again by calling (888) 678-9995.

You can listen to the show online through any of the 33 radio stations that carry it. Voting will end tonight at 10:40PM CT.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour. If a song wins five days in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
