If you're told not to take selfies with the elephants while in India, you should heed the advice. One recently robbed several tourists after they stopped to take pictures. The elephant stuck its trunk in their car, stole a handbag and ate the whole thing.

Eye-witnesses said the couple had been travelling along the scenic jungle road in the Indian state of Karnataka when they stumbled across the elephant and her calf. But after stopping to try and take a selfie, the mother charged the tourists car after becoming riled by the flash.

Tourists have been encouraged not to take elephant selfies, or should we call them elfies.
