Have you been to the stores this Easter season yet? Have you noticed more "time saving" gifts/candy this year? Is Easter turning lazy?

Quick History

Easter is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Easter at it's roots is a religious holiday. In the United States, Easter falls on a Sunday, therefore it has not been designated as a federal or state holiday. Easter parades are held in many American cities, children enjoy candy and eggs. The Easter bunny brings gifts of baskets and candy once children go to bed the night before.

How We Celebrate Today

Stores are filled with candy, toys, and eggs for people to purchase. Also, the Easter Bunny leaves gifts for children when they go to bed on Saturday, and they enjoy these baskets the next day.

Are We Turning Lazy?

Are we filling the stores with too much, and "easy" gifts? While out shopping over the weekend, I noticed grocery stores carrying "Pre-Dyed Easter Eggs". Are we becoming a society where we can't color eggs with children? Is it a time factor? Of course these eggs are still delicious, but pre-boiled colored eggs? Also, the amount of pre-packaged baskets seems to be at an all time high.

Are we turning super lazy when it comes to holidays? OR, are retailers assuming people are lazy? Comment below and let us know what you think.
