You can finally fly like an eagle over the Adirondacks Mountains. The Eagle Flyer zip line, one of the longest in the country, is officially open in Lake Geroge.

Soar from the summit of French Mountain, 125 feet off the ground, going 50 miles an hour, down a 1,000-foot vertical drop. Enjoy the three-quarters-of–a-mile journey seated — or if you dare, fly head-first like an eagle for the most incredible view of the Adirondack Mountains and Lake George.

it’s ready to go, and I can’t wait to start seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they land

The Karate Kid's father, Ralph Macchio Sr. owns the new Eagle Flyer zip line, but has hired the owners of Adirondack Extreme, an adventure park in Bolton Landing, to run the operation. "This makes perfect sense for everybody,” Mr. Macchio said. “They’ve got a great thing going in Bolton, and they’ve designed and built adventure parks around the country. As soon as we approached them with this idea, they couldn’t wait to get started. They’re going to do a great job turning the Eagle Flyer into one of the top attractions in the region."

Mr. Macchio added, “I’ve worked the last five years to get the Flyer approved, designed and built in a way that blends into the natural beauty of this property, which means so much to me and my family. Now it’s ready to go, and I can’t wait to start seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they land.”

Jamie Johnson, owner of Adirondack Extreme, said, “We loved the idea of a high-speed zip line the moment we heard about it. It’s just a cool concept, and we look forward to lending our expertise.”
