Drivers Beware of Dangerous Creaser Challenge in Westmoreland

A concerned citizen in Westmoreland is warning drivers and residents of a very dangerous challenge called the Creaser Challenge.

Margaret Mahanna Leone shared her concerns on Facebook. "Young drivers speed very fast up Creaser Road and purposely run the stop sign on Cooper Street, hoping they don't get hit." Margaret wants to warn anyone who travels Cooper Street. "Be very cautious when traveling through the Creaser Road intersection and pray we don't have any senseless casualties."

What are some people thinking? Kids think they are invincible but heaven forbid someone is killed. If you want speed, race around the Utica/Rome Speedway, not on the open road.

Several drivers say they have noticed skid marks on Creaser Road. The police have been notified and patrol cars have been parked in the area in the last few days.
