Dorothy Hamill Withdraws From ‘Dancing With the Stars’ [VIDEO]
With no elimination, 'Dancing With the Stars' is off to an odd start. Former Olympic figure skater Dorothy Hamill was forced to withdraw from the competition due to a spinal injury. She made the announcement at the end of the show's first elimination episode.
Doctors orders forced Hamill to take herself out and she didn't want to see another couple go when she knew she wouldn't be able to last much longer. Continuing in the competition could mean doing 'irreparable damage' to Hamill's spine.
Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump, comedian Andy Dick and boxer Victor Ortiz were all in danger of being sent home.
Dancing with the Stars returns Monday night at 8 on ABC.
