The wind and ice storm that swept through Central New York this week is still impacting many in Oneida and Herkimer County. On Wednesday there were over 10,000 without power for most of the day. National Grid has worked to correct most of the issues, but some are still in the dark. One local school has even closed for the day.

National Grid expects they will finally have the remaining issues solved by 12pm on Thursday, however Dolgeville Central Schools is closed today.

The majority of issues that still remain in Oneida County are in the hardest hit areas of Remsen, Trenton, and Steuben. Overall there are over 100 people affected in Oneida County, and over 400 in Herkimer County.
