Did George Lucas Put a Mickey Mouse Head in ‘The Empire Strikes Back?’

GEORGE LUCAS‘ relationship with Disney is relatively new, but his love for Disney goes way back. How far back? Check this out .

I don’t know how this went unnoticed for so long, but Lucas slipped an homage to Disney into the ‘Star Wars‘ movie ‘The Empire Strikes Back,’ which came out 33 years ago.

Someone just discovered during the fight between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, there’s a crystal Mickey Mouse head clearly visible in the background.  So I went to YouTube to watch the fight, and sure enough, there’s Mickey, clear as day.

Now the question is, was it in the movie when it was released in 1980, or did Lucas add it in during one of his many digital ‘restorations?’

See if you can find the infamous mouse in each screen shot I took.
