Deadline For Dairy Princess Application Nearing

The annual Dairy Princess Banquet is April 30, and while that seems like a long way off, the deadline for applying is nearing.  Other Cornell Cooperative Extension award deadlines are coming soon too.

April 1 is the deadline for Dairy Princess and Court applications.  That's also the last date applications will be accepted for the Silver Cow Award, Dairy Farmer of the Year and Ag Business of the year.

Applications for the Dairy Princess & Court need to be sent to Mary Burkert, 7795 Sally Rd. in Waterville, NY 13480 or call 315-527-2886.

Nominations for the other awards to go to Cilla Larry, 7825 River Rd. in Rome, NY 13440.

You have a bit more time to register for the banquet itself, that deadline is April 21st.  It will be held at the Vernon Downs Hotel with Cowtails at 1 pm and dinner at 1:30.  Contact Joan Smith to register, 315-737-8907 or email: jdsmith49@aol.com
