Danny Gokey Shares Video & Photo of Newborn Son

Danny Gokey shared the first photo of his brand new son Daniel Emanuel, born Jan. 20, which was his due date. The Season 8 'American Idol' finalist and wife Leyicet Peralta are first-time parents, and judging from this photo, it agrees with them.

"It’s been fun adjusting to having a new baby in the house," the singer, 32, told PEOPLE.

Actually, it's been fun and sleepless, which is pretty common for young parents who are taking their first crack at the whole parenthood thing.

But the lack of sleep is not detracting from how in love the new parents are with their infant.

Gokey continued, "We’re a little sleep-deprived right now, but we really love him a lot! He’s pretty cute — it’s okay to brag, right?"
