Crash Kills a Whitesboro Police Officer

The Whitesboro community is mourning the loss of a police officer this morning, who was killed in a two car crash.

Officer Kevin Crossley was at the intersection of Oriskany Boulevard and Westmoreland Street around 8 last night in a patrol car. A Chevy Avalanche hit the patrol car at the intersection sending both drivers to the hospital.

Officer Crossley was pronounced dead at St Elizabeth's hospital. The driver of the Avalanche was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica with non-life threatening injuries.

The Whitesboro Police Department honored Officer Crossley on their Facebook page.

The New York State Police are continuing the investigation.
