This random act of kindness took place December 18, 2015, in Ilion at McDonalds on Clark Street with Fred Crowley and Tiffany Hubbard.

While on a break from work, Fred and Tiffany stopped at McDonald's in Ilion for some breakfast. They noticed a dog outside. The owners of that dog happened to be seated next to them and said they did have two dogs, but one was recently stolen. The couple started telling Fred and Tiffany about the hardships they were dealing with, no money, no food, and no place to stay. Fred and Tiffany had a leftover breakfast sandwich and gave it to them on their way out. When they got in their car, Tiffany noticed they were giving the meat out of the sandwich to the dog. Fred turned to Tiffany and asked how much money they had. Tiffany said:

"I knew what he had planned. We turned around and went to Aldi's and purchased some groceries including dog food. They were still at McDonald's when we got back. While I asked them to come outside, Fred went inside a bought them each a hot meal. We also gave them some spending money for anything they might need. All their belongings fit into a tiny wagon, and they asked where they could pitch a tent without getting into trouble. We didn't have an answer for that. However, we did point them in the direction of Catholic Charities to see if they could help them. They thanked us and went back inside to eat their hot meal. We're not sure where they went or what happened to them."

Fred and Tiffiny went above and beyond for this homeless couple just a few days before Christmas when times can be difficult for everyone. Fred is also the 3rd assistant fire chief for the Cedarville Fire Department.
