Country Legend George Jones Plans One Final New York Show
Even though he’s missed some shows due to health concerns in the past few months, George Jones is going forward with plans for his final, The Grand Tour and one final album. Those plans include one final stop in New York.
The “Possum” who turned 80 last month, has been hospitalized with a respiratory problem twice this year. Despite the complications, he just announced 18 dates for 2013 including a stop at the Riviera Theater near Buffalo June 1. No word on when tickets would go on sale. If all goes as planned, Jones’ final show would be in Nashville November 23 of next year.
