American Idol has another rising country star.  The third times the charm for Janelle Arthur, who made it through the sudden death round in Las Vegas after auditioning three times.  She joined four other ladies who made it to the live rounds next week.

Janelle Arthur
Janelle Arthur may have gotten lucky.  Her version of Lady Antebellum's 'Just A Kiss' was good, but it wasn't great.  Hopefully she can pick better country songs, that show off her vocal talent when she heads to the live rounds next week, where America votes.

Zoanette Johnson
The surprise of the night came from Zoanette Johnson, who up to this point, seemed like a joke.  But she shocked everyone with her version of Elton John's 'Circle of Life.'  Judge Kieth Urban said it best, 'We never know what you're going to go when you get on stage.'  Zoanette should provide some interesting entertainment this season.  She's beginning to grow on me.

Candice Glover
Candice Glover has one of the best voices in the competition this year.  Her version of 'Natural Woman' had Keith Urban on his feet and singing 'You're a natural singer.'  That she is and she should be around for awhile.

Aubrey Cleland
I hadn't seen or heard from Aubrey Cleland until the sudden death round last night.  Although she's a pretty girl, and can sing well, she didn't do much for me.  I hadn't heard the song 'Sweet Dreams' before, so that didn't help.  But she just didn't stand out.  Aubrey will need to choose songs most of America recognizes or she won't last long.

Breanna Steer
Breanna Steer was another contestant I don't remember with another song I didn't recognize. Again, a pretty girl and sings well, but nothing made her stand out.

Janelle Arthur 'Just a Kiss'

Zoanette Johnson 'Circle of Life'

Candice Glover 'Natural Woman'

Aubrey Cleland 'Sweet Dreams'

Breanna Steer 'Bust Your Windows'

The ladies join last week's five who made it through, Tenna Torres, Amber Holcomb, Kree Harrison, Adriana Latonio and Angela Miller as the Top 10 Women.

The final 10 guys perform tonight on Fox at 8pm with five more moving to the live rounds next week.
