Country Boy Scotty McCreary Makes Idol Top 13
March 4, 2011 6:27 AM We’ll get to hear the low voice from 16 year old Scotty McCreary at least another week on American Idol. He was among the top 5 boys chosen by the public. Soulful Jacob Lusk, Paul McDonald who sounds a little like Rod Stewart, James Durbin, the Adam Lambert screamer, Casey Abrams, the guy who can sing almost anything AND plays the bass rounded out the top boys. Stefano Langone was saved by the judges wild card pick.
On the girls side, early favorite Lauren Alaina who sang Reba’s Turn on the Radio was one of the first to move on to the Top13 along with Pia Toscano who closed the show Wednesday. Haley Reinhart, Karen Rodriguez, who sang in english and spanish and 15 year old Thia Megia were the top 5 girls. The judges wild card picks for the girls went to Ashton Jones and Naima Adedapo.
