If you've ever wanted to be on the CBS reality competition show Survivor, you'll have the chance in August when a Rochester TV station holds auditions.

WROC-TV in Rochester will be holding casting auditions for Survivor on August 10 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Plan on being there early and having to wait in line for a while.

It's suggested you register online before showing up to make your registration process much faster. You can register online at RochesterFirst.com.

If you're chosen as a semi-finalist at the Rochester auditions, you'll be invited to Los Angeles for a final interview with the shows producers. If that goes well, you could be on your way to 'Outwit, Outplay and Outlast' other contestants on Survivor.

Survivor rules say the producers are looking for contestants that are strong-willed, outgoing, adventurous, physically and mentally fit, adaptable and interesting personalities and backgrounds.

Here are some more tips on your audition from CBSSurvivorCasting.com:

Be yourself!  We want to get to know who you are as a person.  How will your life experience help you win the game?  How will you interact with the other tribe members? When describing yourself, remember to cite real life examples. We love a good story!

If you come from a unique region or area of the country, talk about where you’re from, how it’s a part of your personality, or how it may help you do well on Survivor. If you have an interesting job, talk about your job and how those skills may help you win the show.

Here's Survivor Host Jeff Probst on what makes a great Survivor contestant:

Rochester auditions will be held at Auction Direct USA at 6520 State Route 96, and all contestants must be at least 18 years old.

Good luck!
