Cooperstown Home to Top Waterfront Restaurant

One of the most beautiful lakes here in Upstate New York is Otsego Lake.  It was nicknamed "Glimmerglass" by famous author James Fennimore Cooper.  Cooperstown is located at the lake's southern end and is home to one of the top waterfront restaurants.

Just north of the village and Cooper's historic home, sits the Blue Mingo Grill.  NewYorkUpstate.com has listed the restaurant as one of the most amazing upstate waterfront eateries.

The website says although the exterior of the Blue Mingo is nothing special, the view out the back awesome. It adds that diners see a spectacular view of the beautiful lake while enjoying great food   There have even been several "celebrity" sightings reported at the Blue Mingo Grill.
