Cooking Out This Memorial Day Weekend?
Can you believe that this weekend is the first of the big three summer holidays, Memorial Day Weekend? State parks will be open for picnics and swimming, and of course those gas grills will be fired up in the backyard.
I mentioned a week ago that the Greg “Splashin’” McShea gas grill has been dusted off and cleaned, and we did a test run last Sunday. All systems go! We usually go with the standards, hamburgers, hot dogs, an occasional steak, chicken, and that’s about it. But I know some barbecue-ers who are quite adventurous, grilling up salmon, swordfish steaks, beef briskets, pork tenderloins and more!
Seeing that steaks are too expensive to botch on the grill, let’s watch a video on how to successfully grill a sirloin steak.
And remember the rule: Barbecue is low and slow, while grilling is fast and hot.
