Consumer Alert On Dole “Seven Lettuces” Recall
At Big Frog 104, we like to keep you aware of consumer alerts and product recalls. Now, Dole is recalling its “Seven Lettuces” packaged salads.
According to our sister station, WIBX:
“Dole says that its “Seven Lettuces” bagged salads may have one ingredient too many…salmonella.
No illnesses have been reported but a random test sample taken in New York state revealed evidence of the bacteria.
Symptoms of salmonella poisoning are usually seen within 8 to 72 hours after eating contaminated food and include diarrhea, stomach cramps, and fever.
A total of 756 cases have been recalled. The salad was sold in New York and 14 other states.
The recall affects products with the UPC code: 71430 01057.”
