Company CEO Gives Employees $7500 To Take A Vacation

Bart Lorang is the CEO of FullContact API, a Denver based internet start-up. He is not your normal corporate type preferring to wear open neck polo shirts, shorts and flip flops—that’s right, flip flops—to work. He is also intent on keeping his work force happy which, according to ABC News, is why he is offering them $7500 to take a “paid, paid vacation“. Too good to be true? Well, there are several conditions.
“One, you actually have to take a vacation to get the money,” Lorang said. “Two, you have to disconnect from work, so that means no calls, no emails, no tweets, no work of any kind.”
Gee, those are awfully tough conditions aren’t they? One other thing. He IS hiring.
“We’re probably going to hire about 12 folks in the next six months,” he said.
Do you think he’ll be getting a few resumes?
