Come Up With A Theme For The Great New York State Fair
February 26, 2013 11:10 AM We love the Great New York State Fair in the Greg “Splashin’” McShea household. In fact, my daughter and I (and sometimes other family members too) make our annual pilgrimage to the fair in Syracuse and have a ball! Now, you can participate in coming up with a theme for this year’s fair.
Here are the details, according to their website:
“State Agriculture Commissioner Darrel J. Aubertine announced that, for the first time, New Yorkers will be given the opportunity to come up with the theme of the 2013 Great New York State Fair. New Yorkers have until March 15, 2013 to submit ideas for a theme to: statefairideas@agriculture.ny.gov.
On March 18, 2013, Commissioner Aubertine and State Fair Director Ryan will go through the submissions for the 2013 Fair theme. They will narrow these themes down to ten. On March 19, 2013, all New Yorkers will be given an opportunity to vote for the theme of the 2013 Great New York State Fair on the Great New York State Fair’s Facebook page, located at https://www.facebook.com/nysfair. The theme will be announced on April 1, 2013 once all votes are received.
When submitting theme ideas, please include your name, area of the state you live in, and a number where you can be reached.
The 2013 Great New York State Fair will run from Aug. 22 to Sept. 2, 2013.“
