College Degrees That May Not Pay Off

Sometime back in the 70′s I went back to school at SUNY Binghamton–now Binghamton State–and decided to major in accounting just in case this radio thing didn’t pan out. Now, some 30 years later, it seems that that radio “thing” did pan out so I’ve never used the degree. With the cost of going to college on a never ending upward trajectory it may be wise to consider what degrees will and won’t pay off. CoedMagazine.com came up with a list of degrees that don’t promise much in the way of financial rewards.
1. Journalism
2. Horticulture
3. Agriculture
4. Advertising
5. Fashion Design
6. Child and Family Studies
7. Music
8. Mechanical Engineering Technology
9. Chemistry
10. Nutrition
