While the City of Utica is still learning what happened on the 1900 block of Whitesboro Street on January 7th, The CNY SPCA is trying to lend a hand. A dog was found with multiple injuries at the scene of the triple homicide, and the CNY SPCA is trying to help him.

Local SYR is reporting two SPCA investigators found the dog where police were investigating a triple homicide. Police believe the dog is connected.

Police believe the suspect injured the dog, in addition to murdering the three people in the home. The investigators took the dog to a veterinarian in Utica who confirmed that he suffered a broken jaw. "

The dog will receive surgery in Canastota on Friday (1/9). If you'd like to help out and donate, you can do so online through the organization’s website or by calling (315) 454-4479.
