CNY Man Dies Of Head Injury During Motorcycle Helmet Law Protest

It is one of the most hotly debated issues amongst motorcycle riders, law enforcement and insurance carriers. Should riders be required to wear a helmet. Saturday a Parish man was tragically killed when his bike flipped over and he hit his head on the pavement during a helmet law protest in the Town of Onondaga near Syracuse. According to an article in the Syracuse Post Standard Phillip Contos was not wearing a helmet. The article states that an attending physician stated that Mr. Cantos would have probably survived if he had been wearing a DOT approved helmet.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
