Have you figured out what to get dad for Father's Day yet? If not, maybe consider some of these local gift ideas.

Father's Day is just a few days away! If you're stuck on what to get your dad this year, we want to help. These gifts are perfect for any dad, but they also give them the uniqueness of the Central New York area.

Saranac Brewery Tour

Why not take dad on a brewery tour? If you (or your dad) have never done it before, you have to check it out. Not only do you get to learn all about the brewing process and learn about beer-making history in the Mohawk Valley, but you also get the chance to sample beers - Some that aren't even available in stores. Plus it's cheap. It's only $5 per person to go on the tour, and it comes with two drink tickets. You can also 'win' more drink tickets by answering trivia questions (about beer) during the tour.

Golfing

Central New York is known for having an abundance of beautiful golf courses, great for any level golfer. Instead of trying to pick out the perfect golf course for your dad, why not get him passes at a bunch of different ones? I know what you're thinking - That would be ridiculously expensive, right?! Well, we have a little loophole for you. It's the Seize the Deal Golf Card, which gives dad the chance to play golf at 10 different area courses for just $50 (for the card). You can get details about the Seize the Deal Golf Card here.

Central New York Food Favorites

What Father's Day would be complete without a nice meal out? Whether you treat dad to a quick coffee from Utica Coffee Roasting Company, or take him to lunch for Greens or Riggies, you can never go wrong with a meal. Just make sure it's dad's favorite, not yours. Maybe even stop by Holland Farms for dessert - Like a Half Moon Cookie (or try their new peanut butter half moons).

Baseball Game

How about taking dad to a local baseball game? Spend the afternoon in Little Falls (maybe get a bite to eat or something), then wrap up the afternoon watching the Diamond Dawgs play. The game starts at 6:35p. You can get more details about the Diamond Dawgs here.

 Sangertown Square

Apparently, clothes are a huge item for Father's Day gifts. This year, consumers are expected to spend an estimated $2 billion dollars on clothes for dad. Maybe take your father to Sangertown Square to pick out his own new outfit (you don't want to buy a sweater that's just going to get thrown into the back of the closet). While you're there, you can stop by Dick's Sporting Goods, maybe dad could use a new fishing pole or whatever.

These are just a few ideas for dad this Father's Day. Hopefully you can use them, or they spark other ideas. Happy Father's Day!
