CMA Award Memorable Moments – Polly’s Top 8 [VIDEOS]

Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood CMA Awards open
This had to be one of the best openings at the CMA Awards in years. You knew Hank Williams Jr. was going to be the butt of a joke or two this year. What you might not have expected, was him joining hosts Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood to open the show. I love it when the jokes are turned into a country song.
Glen Campbell tribute
Vince Gill, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley paid tribute to a country legend. Glen Campbell, who has been battling Alzheimer's was honored for his contribution to country music. It was touching to watch his reaction in the audience with his wife. He even received a standing ovation when he walked onto the stage. God speed Glen.
Martina McBride
As if Martina McBride's new song about battling cancer wasn't touching enough, her performance at the CMA Awards made it more so. She stood in the middle of the crowd while they all held up lights. It was very touching, especially to anyone who has had to go through breast cancer.
Blake Shelton & Kenny Loggins
The CMA Awards weren't all sad. The show kicked off on a high note with Blake Shelton's 'Footloose.' The original singer, Kenny Loggins even made a guest appearance. It may just be me, but Kenny is looking old.
Zac Brown Band & Greg Allman
The Zac Brown Band paid tribute to their home state. They gave an amazing performance of 'Georgia' with Greg Allman of the Allman Brothers band. I love Zac Brown's voice and gift to play the guitar.
Faith Hill
Faith Hill finally returned to the CMA stage. It's been four years since she's sang on the show and she's still got it. Faith performed a new song called 'Coming Home' and received a much deserved standing ovation.
Taylor Swift
Your CMA Entertainer of the Year, Taylor Swift used the moment to present a new song. She sat on a couch, while strumming her guitar and sang 'Ours'
Lionel Ritchie Goes Country
Lionel Richie is planning on releasing a country duets album next year. So it's no surprise he used the biggest stage in country music to team up with some of country's biggest stars. Little Big Town, Darius Rucker and Rascal Flatts joined Richie to sing some of his biggest hits.
