Clinton’s Nick Palmieri Off To Good Start With New Jersey Devils

The Utica-Rome area has had its share of successful professional athletes. Utica’s Dave Cash and Will Smith, Rome’s Archi Cianfrocco and Ilion’s Boots Day come readily to mind. Now there is another name to add to that list, Clinton’s Nick Palmieri of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils.Nick is a big 22 year old rugged forward who was drafted by the Devils in 2007 and made his NHL debut last year with the team. Playing half the season with New Jersey Nick scored 9 goals and earned a place on this years season opening roster. So far after 2 games Nick has contributed 2 assists to the team which has posted a 1-1 record.
