One of my favorite McShea family holiday traditions is the "Clinton Shoppers' Stroll And Holiday Parade" on the day after Thanksgiving in the Village Of Clinton. This year, the event, which begins today is expanded to two days.

You can enjoy the Clinton Shopper's Stroll today and Saturday. Here are the details, according to villageofclinton.com:

"The Clinton Chamber of Commerce's Annual Holiday Shoppers' Stroll will be expanded to a 2-day event this year, to be held on Friday, November 29th from 10 A.M. until 9 P.M. and on Saturday, November 30th from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Complimentary food, drink, hospitality, and music will be offered by businesses and community organizations throughout the village.

On Friday, you can tour the Clinton village by horse-drawn carriage while groups of carolers from area high schools perform throughout the day. There will be special sales at area merchants and events to offer entertainment and delight throughout the day and evening. The beautiful 38 foot Blue Spruce tree with over 2,000 lights will be lit at 6:00 P.M., preceded by a reading of 'Twas the Night before Christmas' rendered by Mr. Richard Enders. The 49th Annual Town of Kirkland Holiday Parade begins at 7:00 P.M. The parade follows College Street and continues around the Village Green to the Fire House where kids of all ages can sit on Santa's lap and tell him their Christmas wishes.

On Saturday there will be a Crazy Hat and Paw Parade at 11:30 A.M. starting at the Clinton Post Office and Free Pet Photo with the Grinch at NBT Bank. Stuff the Bus for Toys for Tots at the Village Green from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
