City Of Utica Outlaws Bath Salts
We’ve all heard the numerous distressing news stories about bath salts, and the bizarre effects on people’s behavior. Now, the city of Utica has done something about it.

Here are the details from our sister station, WIBX:
“It is now illegal to possess or sell the synthetic drug known as bath salts within the city of Utica.
Last night the Utica Common Council passed unanimously an ordinance prohibiting the sale and possession of the synthetic drugs know as bath salts, Mayor Palmieri signed the ordinance into law moments later. Utica Police Chief Mark Williams calls bath salts use an epidemic.
The fine for possession of bath salts is $250 and/or up to fifteen days in jail.”
