Kathleen Dolbear and her family are asking for your help. They accidentally sold a cherished family antique at an estate sale May 20 at 6086 Route 31 (next to the CMC Dance Studio) in Cicero, N.Y.

Please help this family find the keepsake inadvertently sold. The task of planning an estate sale for your parent's belongings is difficult enough, let alone lose something else so close to your heart.

Although the photo above is not the real 'John Deere oil can' the family is looking for, it does like that one except for the rust and dents. The missing 'oil can' that was unintentionally sold is in excellent condition. Here's the plea for help on Facebook.

*****NOTICE*****

To the man who stopped at the ESTATE SALE at 6086 Route 31 (next to the CMC Dance Studio) Cicero, NY on May 20th 2016: The John Deere oil can that you bought wasn't suppose to be sold. It holds great sentimental value for the family because it reminds them of the farm and their grandfather. I know this is a long shot, but if this reaches you and you have a caring heart, please contact me through FB to return it and you will receive your money back of course. Thank you so much. Please share this post and spread the word for me.---Kathleen Dolbear (Dickson)

Anyone with information that could lead to the man who bought the oil can is asked to email kedolbear@hotmail.com
