Christmas Gifts That Didn’t Last Through The Day
They say it’s not the gift it’s the thought that counts. A few of this year’s Christmas Gifts just didn’t quite work out as planned. Here’s 5 that didn’t quite survive the day-long celebration at the Pole Household.
The Cat Harness

I sorely misjudged the size of our cat, Smokedog. The neck size was good, but the body wrap was like trying to squeeze me into size 32 jeans. Although it was good for a laugh as he ran around the room with it half on thinking the other half was chasing him.
The Cat Toy

Obviously if I missed on the cat’s size, I was also off on it’s strength. This toy equipped with a ball of catnip and a bell was destroyed in less than 10 minutes.
The Dog Toy

The dog, Molly loves to play catch and it is football season. It even squeaks! Or should I say it squeaked? She had it de-squeaked in under 10 minutes too.
Remote Control Car

Whaddya mean it takes SIX batteries?!? I thought those days were over, everything comes with a battery now. At least it’s not broken.
Chocolate Covered Cherries

There was never a chance these would make it through the day. Chocolate Covered Cherries are a tradition from childhood, just like nuts and oranges in your stocking. Perhaps the debacle of the first gifts led me to be a bit short on temper, but when the “easy open” box failed to cooperate, I found a work around.
Any gifts under your tree fail to last the day?
