Christmas Eve Traditions

Tonight is Christmas Eve. Families gather, share a meal, enjoy a glass of eggnog and bask in the warmth of each others company. There are as many Christmas Eve traditions as there are families and here a few that you  might identify with.

One popular tradition is opening one present. The kids especially enjoy this as it whets their appetite for whats yet to come. Another is gathering the family together to sing Christmas carols or watch a favorite holiday movie. It might be something traditional like “It’s A Wonderful Life” or “Miracle on 34th Street” or something more contemporary such as “National Lampoon Christmas Vacation” or “A Christmas Story”. Some may head out for midnight mass at their local church and then come home to trim the tree. Whatever your Christmas tradition, here’s wishing you a happy Christmas Day!
