The New York State Fairgrounds will once again be transformed into a world of sculpted light when the NYS Chinese Lantern Festival returns this summer.

You'll be able to explore the creations May 25 through July 1. The festival will be open every day of the week except for Mondays.

Tuesday thru Thursday 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Fridays & Saturdays 5:30 - 11 p.m.

Sundays 5:30 - 10 p.m.

This year you'll see all-new light up displays of things like flowers, peacocks, cranes, butterflies and archways.

Also new this year are two 30-minute live performances each night featuring Chinese dancers, acrobats, face changers and musicians.

The sculptures are made of welded metal frames covered in silk and fabric, and lit from within by LED lights.
