Why Do Central New Yorker’s Complain When Christmas Lights Go Up Early?

If you are on social media at all, you notice several of your friends complaining about Christmas lights going up to early. Why complain though? It actually makes a lot of sense.

Think about this: Would you rather hang lights when the weather is icy, cold, and snowy? Or, would you rather hang lights when the temperature is 60 and no rain?

Honestly, most people hang lights and put decorations out early. Why? It's much easier than dealing with mother nature. Most people don't even turn these decorations on until Thanksgiving and Black Friday anyways!

So why even complain?
