Central New York Natives Featured In Viral Video [WATCH]

Thomas Kopie and his wife Jaime are from Central New York and they currently reside in Brooklyn. Together they are the band "Coyote and Crow." They are street performers in New York City and have been doing it for about 4 years. Recently they posted a video to their YouTube channel of a little girl dancing to their cover of a Grateful Dead song. That video now has over 4 million views!

Thomas said the little girl had been dancing to their music for so long that Jaime finally decided to record it and when they uploaded it to YouTube, the video had hit 1 million views within 24 hours of it being posted.

Thomas is from Utica and Jaime hails from Sandy Creek and they sound good! All of the instruments they use, including banjos, are either homemade or home modified. As stated on their website, their songs

are inspired by nature, folk tales, love, and life experiences. With a sound that's hard to put a name on, we pour our heart and soul into every note. We call it "Old Time Rock n' Soul.
