Celebrating The 40 Hour Week On The Country Classic Double
On this day, October 24, 1940, the 40-hour work week went into effect under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. Of course now with computers, e-mail, voicemail, smart phones and all, many of us are working more than 40 hours a week, and then some! Today on our “Country Classic Double” we begin with Alabama’s number one hit in 1985: “Forty Hour Week(For A Livin)”.
