Celebrate National Pasta Month
Here’s something I think you’ll eat up. October is National Pasta Month – a good reason to eat hearty during the “Frog Days of Fall”. Funny, when I was a kid they called pasta macaroni, or all pasta was spaghetti, even if the noodles weren’t spaghetti.
Well, this isn’t the night before the Boilermaker Road Race, when runners pile on the pasta for protein and carbs before the big run. But, new research indicates the type of pasta you prefer says something about your personality. According to Chef Joseph Bonanno, Jr. if you like:
Spaghetti & Meatballs – Your job is important to you, and there’s no place you’d rather be than with your family.
Lasagna – You are very intelligent, and there’s nothing you like more than a challenge (maybe calories too).
Fettuccine Alfredo – You like the finer things in life and are willing to work hard to get them.
Mac & Cheese – You thoroughly enjoy life and never lost that wide-eyed wonder that you had as a child.
Pasta Primavera – You try to live the healthiest life possible.
Being from the Utica-Rome area, I have to ask: “What about Chicken Riggies?”
