January 1, 2013 It's a new year and with it comes a number of new laws designed to make the world a safer place. Sort of. While most laws tend to make sense there are some that defy logic. For example, according to ABC News, Illinois is making it illegal to possess, sell or distribute shark fins. Sure, it may be intended to protect certain species of shark but since Illinois--last time I looked--was nowhere near the ocean one has to wonder how big a problem this is.
