May 15, 2012 It's one thing to be pulled over for texting while driving but now one New Jersey city, Fort Lee, has banned texting while walking. According to ABC News police are giving out tickets to people they catch texting while walking the city's streets and those tickets carry an $85 fine. Fort Lee police chief Thomas Ripoli says there is good reasoning behind the ban.
